Do I need to Update MyEBSCO Folder before December 19, 2024?
EBSCO will change its platform on Dec 19, 2024. Do I need to make any changes to my saved content?
Answer
Maybe. It depends if you need to save the items and if they were added to custom folders. Search alerts will need to be recreated in the new EBSCO User Interface. Please read the detailed information and view the videos below for more instructions.
- Saved Searches will sync from classic EBSCOhost system folders (My Folder only) to My Dashboard on the new EBSCOhost in January 2025. Before December 19, 2024, move your saved searches in My Custom folders to saved searches in MyFolder on classic EBSCOhost to ensure your saved searches are synced in January.
- Note: If you have multiple queries in a saved search only the top saved query will be synced from classic to new EBSCOhost in January. You may wish to copy or screenshot your search strategies from your My Custom folders for future reference.

- Search alerts will not be migrated to the new EBSCOhost user interface. Search alerts must be created before December 19, 2024, on the new EBSCOhost user interface.
- You can save your search alert as a saved search to the MyEBSCO (MyFolder), which will sync in January. Then, in the new EBSCOhost UI (in January), you can run the saved search and create a new alert.
