How do I quote? When do I use quotes?
Answer
Quotes are where you copy phrases or sentences word for word from another source. Quotes should be used sparingly. Paraphrasing should be used instead of quotes unless absolutely necessary.
When quoting you'll want to format quotes that are 40 words or less differently than quotes that are 40 words or more. For examples, take a look at the Quotations page here https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/citations/quotations
