What does title case and sentence case mean?

In APA, there are many instances where certain things need to be in title case or sentence case. What exactly does that mean?

Title Case

Title case is when major words are capitalized and minor words are lowercase, much like a movie title.

Sentence case is when only the first word is capitalized. Proper nouns are an exception, so they need to be capitalized.
